When I first started the ABPI Exam Toolkit way back when….. I was often asked this question.
Digging a little deeper helped me to understand why an exam candidate would ask such a question, when all that was known for sure was that the Exam took the form of multiple choice questions (or MCQs).
At the time, the ABPI didn’t provide any clues about the nature of the MCQs you were likely to encounter in the Exam, let alone provide any “mock” examples.
So, I was a bit surprised to be asked this question. My answer, was and remains the same now, as then – practice makes perfect. It’s not just about seeing whether you CAN answer the questions, it’s also about honing your timing, as well as your thinking skills, and of course, testing your knowledge.
As many have found out to their cost, answering MCQs under pressure (i.e. up against a ticking clock) is challenging to say the least. That’s why it’s good to get in as much practice as you can.

All of my MCQ workbooks challenge you to ensure that you really know your stuff.
Unlike in the exam (and in the ABPI’s eLearning), there’s more than one correct answer to our MCQs in our Workbooks. That means you need to understand the topic, not just remember it.
We’re talking proper prep here, not half-hearted.
So, up for challenging your memory, understanding and ability to apply what you’ve learned?
